ICC EVENTS CALENDAR

Authorized Microsoft Testing Center

 

 

ICC is an authorized testing center fior the Microsoft Certified Specialist Certification exam. The Microsoft Office Specialist program is globally recognized as the standard for demonstrating desktop skills with the Microsoft Office Suite(versions 2000,2002,2003)of business productivity applications(Microsoft Word, Microsoft  Excel,  Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Project).

Successful examinees of the certification exams, administered online by Certiport, Inc. in Utah, U.S.A., are issued official certificates by Microsoft Corporation signed by Microsoft executives from their headquaters in Redmond, Washington, U.S.A. Microsoft Certified Specialists are likewise issued official academic transcript(upon request)by the American Council on Education which they can use fir college credits in any university or college in the United States.

ICC @ PCS  First Meeting for 2017

ICC, represented by Branch Coordinator Ms. Acidelmar Noya And Computer Programming facultuy member Ms. Joana Marie Gran, participated in the First Membership meeting of the Philippines Computer Society( PCS) for 2017 last January 25, 2017
at the Universituy of Asia and the Pacific, Ortigas Center, Pasig City.

The following were the speakers during the event: 1 Retired Brigadier General Dante Costes, Phil Computer Society President . He gave the opening address. 2 Mr. Titus Manuel, Past Phil Computer Society President. He discussed "EUREKA: Uncovering Missing Ingredients in Successful Plan Execution. 3. Mr. John Macasio, IT Cosultant. He discussed ICT Govt Project for Development. 4. Mr. Toti Casiño, Past Phil Computer Society President. He discussed PCS LEADS ON ( Leveraging on the Emerging & Advancement of Developmental Strategies Onward to Nation-building".   5. Mr.Manuel Bulatao, IT Consultant. He discussed  Why IT project fail and how to avoid them. 6.Mr. Edgardo Marquez, Phil Computer Society Vice President. He gave the closing remarks.
 

ICC Oragnizes #HourOfCode in Cavite & Las Piñas

ICC, in cooperation with the Hour of Code global movement, organized an Hour of Code event last January 21, 2017 in ICC branches in Cavite & Las Pinas. 

The Hour of Code, a global movement with headquarters in Seattle Washington USA, reaches over 100 million student in over 180  countries. 

The Hour od Code is a one-hour introduction to computer science. Student and teacher can choose a variety of activities. For ICC's Hour of code activity. ICC student invited relatives & friends within thier communities to introduce them to Computer Science & Computer Programming using the Javascript language. The invited student wrote their first line of code with the assistance of ICC  faculty members and students. Aside From writing their  first line of code, the activity seeks to show the students that the basics of computer of computer science help nurture creativity and problem-solving skills.

in the United States, celebrities and tech visionaries support the Hour of Code. Every Apple Store in the world hosted an hour of Code in 2014 and  2015. Hour of code has been featured on Apple, Amazon, Google, Youtube, Yahoo, Bing and Disney  homepages. Hollywood celebrities like Ashton Kutcher and Jessica Alba and tech leaders Sheryl Sandberg(FaceBook), Bill Gates(Microsoft) and JackDorsey(Twitter) have talked with classcrooms in live video chats. President Obama wrote his first line of code to kick off Hour of code in 2014.

The Hour of Code event is also part of ICC's National Service Training Program(NSTP). The annual activity is aimed at enhancing the civic consciouseness of the students by developing the ethics of service and patriotism.
